Thankful - day twenty

First of all, I can't believe it's already day twenty of november. How did that happen so fast? I wish I could slow life down a bit. Although, that's the funny thing about time...so many times I've wished I could fast-forward through events or hard times only to blink my eyes and realize how quickly time really does pass. I have to remind myself to take a deep breath and enjoy the moments!

Today I have lots of really random things I've been particularly thankful for....

  • I am thankful that I finally got a much needed haircut and color. Between our fall vacation and my sweet hairdresser/niece having a baby in October... it was desperately needed. I couldn't believe that I had waited this long as I looked at my roots this morning. It may seem trivial and materialistic...but I really do feel thankful and refreshed. It's amazing what even a little trim can do to make me feel better!

  • As I was driving to and fro the UC today, I felt so thankful to live in this amazing and beautiful place. It is easy to take for granted just how spectacular and beautiful it really is. I feel lucky and thankful to be able to call two of the most beautiful valleys in the world HOME.

    Salt Lake Valley

Utah Valley

  • I also felt very thankful when I realized that it was a 60 degree day. It felt nice to just wear a light jacket. Although I hear it's short-lived and snow is expected by morning!
  • I also felt very thankful that I no longer have to commute and drive on the freeway everyday. I couldn't believe the mid-day traffic. So aggravating. I really am thankful and love living in a community where I live, work and shop all within a mile of home.

AND

it's Friday... I'm pretty thankful for that too!
