TAKE THE TIME...

I have read several blog posts about this kind of thing lately, but I think it bears repeating...

HUG YOUR LOVED ONES...
TELL THEM THAT YOU LOVE THEM...

...EVERY SINGLE DAY!

I recieved a heartbreaking call yesterday afternoon that a friend and co-worker of mine and her husband were involved in a terrible car accident on Saturday night. He did not survive. They have been married less than a year, just purchased a new home and were expecting their first baby. It is so devastating and my heart breaks for her. I saw her on Saturday and we talked about our husbands, how she was feeling with pregnancy and our "Saturday Night" plans. Just over 3 hours laters...her world was turned upside down, in ways that I cannot imagine. It is so tragic. This is just one of many things these last few weeks that have reminded me how fragile life is. Never take one single minute for granted. And please... Slow Down and Wear Your Seatbelt!

That breaks my heart. Is there anything we can do for her? Thanks for reminding us about the precious life we have.

Oh no! This is the saddest thing and probably my worst nightmare ever. Life is precious, why does it often take tragedy to remind us?

That's terrible. I am so sorry. She is lucky to have you for a friend to help her through this time... I have had a cousin (just last month) and 2 friends loose husbands the last couple of years, it is by far my worste nightmare! I hope she and the baby are okay.

So sad! Though behind every tragic are loving, beautiful miracles! As sad and as horrible as it is, many lives will be touched through this. God has a beautiful plan for us. Jon and I were talking last night how quickly life can change. His friend just found out he has bone cancer and 3 months to live. He's married with 1 child and his wife is pregnant with their 2nd. SO sad! A good reminder why we need to show love AND ALSO remain active, and close to the spirit so that "when" not "if" something happens we are prepared. Thanks for the reminder.

I meant to say "behind every tragedy" not tragic
