A good night's sleep and some comfortable shoes.

IS IT JUST ME??

I have never been a good sleeper in my adult life. I don't usually have a hard time falling asleep, but I have a horrible time staying asleep. I wake up easily and once I wake up....my brain starts going a million miles a minute and it's over. (the night, that is)

It seems like it's getting worse...and if this pace keeps up, pretty soon....there will be little point in going to bed at all.

What I wouldn't give for:

a GOOD NIGHT'S {SLEEP}...

and I mean a REALLY good night's sleep

Here's the other deal. I like fashion as much as the next guy. Okay, maybe not quite as much as the next guy (or girl)... but I like to think that I am still hanging onto the fashion train, albeit it's more of a white knuckle cling these days. With Fall upon us, and the need to put away the flip flops and squish my piggies back into shoes... I just can't seem to bear the thought of having to "keep up" with something like this:

...when what I really want...

...is something like this...

some good, SENSIBLE {SHOES}!?

okay, okay, okay... maybe not quite THAT sensible!

But come on...

!Good Sleep and Comfortable Shoes!

THAT is what really floats my boat as a "thirtysomething"

Did you seriously post that at 1:45 am?? Tell you what. . .why don't you head on down to my house when you're having trouble sleeping and you can hang out with my two girls who also seem to have trouble sleeping! I'd love it. Because I too need a good night sleep. :)
Ready for another lunch/dinner? I think we should invite Sharon this time.

I hear you! The older I get the better sleep and comfortable shoes gets! If I could just get my crazy children to all sleep through the night life would be good!

I hear ya on the sleep. I get up at least twice a night just to pee! ahhh the things to come. you know me and shoes! I'm all about comfort, but man those shoes are freaken cute! I know I'm going to have to be a "sas" lady someday....so sad

I totally agree with you on the shoes. Every time I go shopping with real intent to buy some "cute" new shoes, I leave the mall a little depressed! I can't bring myself to buy the cute ,but oh so umcomfortable shoes---especially when you are holding or chasing little ones around. Brett actually has made some comments about my winter shoes, cuz they're pretty ugly. But I just don't care anymore-- I need comfort and practicality.

Can't help you on the sleep thing. I sleep like a baby, while Brett is the one with the sleep problem in our house.

You're speaking my language! What I wouldn't give for both of those things...

I love the shoes! Actually, I think the heel thingies are scarier than the geriatric beauties (i think my old piano teacher had some of those)! Good luck with the sleep. Maybe you should find a nice sound like a fan! I HAVE to have the bathroom fan on, it drowns out everything and everyone! My husband laughs at me cause I freak out on trips/hotels without my fan on. I know, I am psycho or something! Whatever works :) I am not good with lack of sleep.

I think the whole DNA thing screwed us over on any chance of ever being good sleepers. I don't think dad has ever slept past 4:30 in the morning. As you can see I am posting this at 5:15 AM, while my dear husband sleeps away without a care in the world. Thank goodness for Melatonin and Ambien or I would never sleep. As for the comfy shoes that is totally a given.
