friends & traditions

I can't adequately express how thankful I am to be a thirtysomething that still has close friendships with girls I've known since 7th grade (or longer in many cases)...

Two weekends in a row that I've been able to spend time with my besties... Lucky me!

Ana came to town from Vegas over Thanksgiving with her family and a few of us were lucky enough to meet up for breakfast one morning. We don't see her very often, so it's always so fun to catch up and hear about the goings on of her beautiful family. They're moving to Italy next summer, so we're all saving our pennies so we can afford to go see her for our next girls trip! I'm sure our husbands won't mind....

And this past weekend was THE weekend that we look forward to all year long... our annual Christmas party at the cabin. We started doing this so many moons ago when we were barely past the age of little girls and this year was year 19!!!! I'm still having a hard time believing that we are old enough to have a 19 year tradition! SURREAL!

It's amazing to me that even though so much has changed in our lives over the years, our friendship has not. It is every bit as much fun having sleepovers with these girls as it was when we were 15... maybe even more so!

Thanks for another fabulous weekend and another amazing year of friendship!
I couldn't be any luckier!

XOXO
